Cotswold Steakhouse makes it onto the CAMRA Good Beer Guide

Cotswold based Steakhouse “The Falcon Inn” has made it onto the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for the first time since it was taken over by new owners.

CAMRA – the Campaign for Real Ale – compile their annual Good Beer Guide by attending bars around the country in the form of mystery guests.

This guest assesses the various bars on the range and quality of their beers, level of service and ambiance.

Falcon Landlord Mr Starling said: “It’s great. The books just been released now and we heard for the first time a couple of weeks ago.

“All the previous bars I’ve been in have been in the book but when I took this place on it was really different to what we’ve turned it into.

“The place was a lot more old fashioned and real ale was non-existent. It’s been a fantastic experience.”

Despite successfully entering the good beer guide for 2015, Mr Starling has no intention of becoming complacent.

He said: “We haven’t been open a very long time but it’s been really well received. It’s full most nights of the week.

“The next step is to stay in the good beer guide and keep the standards as high as we can.”
