Frequently Asked Questions
- Do you allow kids?We only allow babies & toddlers 3 and under (children that require a highchair) to dine on table during our lunch service & early bird tables booked up to (and including) 6:00pm. We’re afraid we don’t have room for pushchairs, prams or buggies in our small restaurant We also stop serving our children’s menu (available to those aged 3-12 years old) at 7pm. Please include all babies, toddlers & children in your booking numbers when booking a table. If you require any highchairs for a lunch booking, then please mention in the Booking Comments section (e.g. 2 adults & 1 highchair)
- Do you allow dogs?We only allow dogs during our lunch service on tables booked in the lounge/bar area, these tables are available at 1pm, 7 days-a-week.
- Do you have a car park?Sadly not, however there is FREE on street park! Failing that there is the Chipping car park just up the road from us (5 minute walk from the pub)
- How do I make a booking?You can book a table by clicking on the 'Book A Table' button in the menu, or alternatively you can click here.
- Do I need to book a table?Yes, we advise everyone to book as we do get extremely busy (especially on the weekends). You're more than welcome to chance it and "walk-in" but the chances are, we won't be able to seat you.
- What if I have allergies?Then fear not, we've got you covered! Please see our extremely detailed Allergen Menu in the Menus section.
- How do I cancel my online booking?To cancel your online booking, please see the automated confirmation email that you receive when you booked your table with us.
- Why do you require my card details?It's something we've brought in to help with no-shows, but we're actually unable to book a table without a card. We don't keep the details on-site and it is stored with our credit card company, in the same way with shopping online. If you're not happy with giving your card details out, you are more than welcome to 'walk-in' and if we have a table free, we'll happily seat you, however we are normally fully-booked (especially on the weekends & evenings). Nothing is charged to your card when you make a booking, however, we charge a fee of £20 per person if:
- You don't arrive for your booking (no-show).
- You cancel your table within 12 hours of your booking.
- You turn up with less people than you booked for (unless you let us know prior by giving us a call). We will charge for each missing guest from the original booking.
- I'm after a table for more than 8 people, can you accommodate us?We're very sorry but the maximum we can take up to is a table of 8, this is due to the size of our restaurant and our kitchen and to the fact that we are a from-scratch kitchen with everything being made and cooked to order. 8 is the max we feel we can send out without the quality suffering and meals being sent out wrong.
